Information reaching Annie's blog from its sources reveals that a Final Year FUTO student attempted suicide yesterday being 22nd April, 2015.Sydney Prince, an undergraduate student of FUTO currently studying Materials and Metallurgical Engineering jumped into the Otamiri River inside the Campus Area in an attempt to end his Life.An eye witness revealed that while she was doing her morning exercise with her friends at the River bank, Sydney was at seen making phone calls and crying. The group ignored him and continued their exercise, after 20-30 minutes, he Jumped into the river and that was when he started screaming for help.He was unconscious when rescued and rushed to the hospital. Former President Goodluck Jonathan has dismissed claims by respondents in a book written by the Chairman of the Editorial Board of ThisDay, Mr. Segun Adeniyi. Jonathan, who stated this in his twitter handle on Saturday, faulted claims by respondents in the book, “Against the Run of Play.” He said many of those that responded to issues surrounding the 2015 presidential election made distorted claims. He said, “I have just read Segun Adeniyi’s new book, ‘Against the Run of Play’ which has so far enjoyed tremendous reviews in the media. My take on it is that the book as presented, contains many distorted claims on the 2015 presidential election by many of the respondents “There will obviously be more books like that on this subject by concerned Nigerians.
