50 FEARED DEAD AS BOAT CAPSIZES ON RIVER NIGER

At least, 50 people were feared dead as boat conveying passengers from Gaya town in the neighbouring Niger Republic enroute to Lolo local market in Bagudo local government area of Kebbi state capsized in the over fl owing River Niger. Confi rming the incident to Blueprint in a telephone conversation, the council Chairman of Bagudo local government area, Alhaji Mohammadu Kaura Dan Hakimi, said the incident occurred at the early hours of yesterday. He said the boat was carrying over 100 passengers from Gaya a border town in Niger Republic and was reported to had broken into two parts as a result of over loading and couple with speedy wave of river Niger. BARCELONA PRESIDENT, BARTOMEU INSISTS THAT MESSI IS ALREADY PLAYING UNDER NEW CONTRACT

Barcelona president, Josep Maria Bartomeu, has calimed that Lionel Messi is already under the terms of his new contract. While Messi agreed to a contract extension until 2021 in July, the Argentina captain is yet to officially put pen to paper on the contract with the La Liga giants. It has raised doubts over Messi’s future at Camp Nou, following Neymar’s world-record transfer to Paris Saint-Germain. The La Liga giants have continually insisted the 30-year-old will sign his contract and Bartomeu provided another update on Thursday. “We will take the photo with Messi’s signature, hopefully before the end of the year, but the contract has been signed by his father, who has the power of his image rights,” Bartomeu told 8TV. “This contract is signed until 2021 and he is already playing under it.”

According to the prominent "Game of Thrones" news and fan site Watchers on the Wall, "Game of Thrones" could be looking to cast two new characters for its final season. Watchers on the Wall shared the two casting descriptions for the characters reportedly being cast in the UK right now. For now, the characters go by the generic names Northern Girl, and Boy. Both roles are for children. The casting description for Northern Girl indicates that the character should be between 8 and 10 years of age, and she's described as, "a straight-talking Northern-accented girl, someone remarkable for her dauntlessness and integrity." Northern Girl is also supposedly brought up by soldiers, that all share a sense of "fearlessness."
